Description from the publisher:
Edwin Santora is the kind of man every woman wants to be “friends” with.
He was Abigail’s first love, the love of her life, but when the devastatingly handsome Edwin admitted he just wasn’t ready to settle down and have kids, Abigail was left back at ground zero surrounded by the remnants of her shattered heart. Convinced that he can win Abigail back, he bides his time and waits for his chance to reclaim her body and her heart.

Cameron Clarke is what dreams are made of.
He was the man of Abigail’s dreams and she was smitten. She hadn’t actually expected that he would fall for her, but he did; which only makes the clean-up that much messier after he drops a bomb that shocks everyone. Lost without her, and with his motherless little girl’s broken heart on the line, Cameron’s determined to stop Edwin from stealing his future; but is it too late for him?

Torn between these two men who stand to give her everything she ever wanted, who will Abigail choose?

EXCERPT

Do you still need that time to think; or are you going to tell me what's really going on?"

It felt like a rock went rolling down my windpipe.  I couldn't manage a breath let alone a word.

"I can take a hint.  I'll leave it alone for now,” Edwin said, with a smirk.  “But I'm setting a deadline of tomorrow.  I'm not letting you worry away your entire vacation.  If you don't tell me before supper tomorrow night, I'll tickle it out of you.”

Edwin jumped on top of me and gave me a taste of his tickle torture (spelling edited).  I felt my voice return as I began to scream with laughter.

"Okay, okay.  Please stop.  Eddie!"  I could see it in his eyes that he enjoyed listening to my pleas, but he stopped after one last tickle.

He growled and his dark aqua eyes hooked onto mine.  "I love when you scream my name."

Ms. Simpson has created a beautiful ending to this trilogy.  Some won, some lost, and some were left with fates not yet decided. I do hope she will continue to write, but I still suggest she employ an editor/consultant.

Did the right guys get the right girls?  That’s for you to decide.  Let’s not forget there are many more gorgeous men still up for grabs.  If we find one over fifty, I call first dibs!

 I have excused the grammar difficulties, except for the one about “less people.”  The math teacher in me must insist that be changed to “fewer people.”

The Twisted Trilogy:
  1. Twisted
  2. Twist & Turn
  3. A Twist of Fate

Description from the publisher:
Abigail feared that she had given up on the love of her life, until she met the man of her dreams.

Abigail Jenkins was lucky enough to find one man that met all of her expectations. Edwin Santora was that man, recklessly handsome and fun-loving, with a body carved from stone. But it wasn't enough. Abigail wanted a baby, and that matter was not up for debate. Edwin, having just scored his first job out of law school, was nowhere near ready to settle down. Abigail was. Relationship over. Or was it?

Right when Abigail starts to realize that maybe Edwin was her best bet, Cameron Clarke, the man of her dreams, slips into her life, stealing her attention and her heart. With swoon-worthy sunset-shaped eyes and a smile that lit up the darkest corners of her tragic youth, Abigail knew in an instant that he was the one. Suddenly, Abigail finds that having a baby isn't at the top of her list of things to do. Cameron Clarke is.

Sparks begin to fly when Abigail get what she wants and Edwin admits what he thinks about that; but is it too little too late?

I love this story.  I don’t know if I want Abby with Eddie or Cam.  Both are hot, sexy men.  Eddie is all of the wild and untamed.  Cam is all of the sweet, solid, and sensitive that this girl desires.  Why can’t either one of them be the whole package and make the decision easier?  While I’m asking questions, what the heck is up with the creepy sister?  I will be staying up all night to find out!  Maybe the third book will help decide which team to choose.

While I do love the story, I wouldn’t be fair to my fellow readers if I didn’t point out the downside of this series.  Sentence structure seems to be forced a lot of the time.  It feels as though someone has established a rule that there must be ‘at least two adjectives/adverbs in every sentence.’  We don’t really need to have this if it disrupts the flow of the story.  Likewise, I must recommend that someone take away Ms. Simpson’s thesaurus (or disable it on her Word program).  I just want to tell her, “Relax!  It’s a great story.  You don’t have to prove your vocabulary.”

Description from the publisher:
Can a man and woman be just friends? Abigail Jenkins is wondering just that.

Now that Edwin Santora has graduated from law school with honours, he could get a job anywhere he wanted.  Of all the places to land, why did he have to take a position with Abigail's small firm?  As if sharing a house with her irresistible ex wasn't bad enough, now it was the least of her concerns.  When Edwin's macho arrogance begins to seriously affect her dating life, Abigail starts to seriously reconsider their friendship; not that Edwin believes a man and woman can be just friends anyway.

After yet another date gone wrong and Edwin's fierce persistence, Abigail finds herself catching feelings.  When Edwin makes a friendly proposal, no-strings-attached, Abigail can't resist.  After some sexy role playing, she finds herself dangerously in love and wrapped back up in his powerful grip.  Little does he know that Abigail has a strict life plan for herself and has set out to see if Edwin is up for the challenge?  When Abigail finally puts their relationship to the test, will it pass with flying colours or will they give in to the mysterious forces trying to drive them apart?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Edwin and Abby have dated before, been lovers, bought a house together, but the timing was never right and they were just roommates.  After university graduation, Edwin knows what he wants.  He wants Abby.  She has never left his heart, and he wants her to return to his bed.  Edwin has never left her heart either, but she is afraid to be hurt again.  When Edwin proposes a no-strings-attached relationship, Abby gives in to her dreams, but she isn't ready to give up on her life-plan.  When she gives Eddy an ultimatum, will he follow his heart or allow rebelliousness dictate the course of their relationship?
This is Ms. Simpson's debut novel and it is self-published, so the writing is unpolished, but don't let that stop you from reading.  I loved this story and I'm looking forward to seeing where it leads.  The full trilogy is now available, so there will be no waiting to read Abby and Edwin's story from beginning to end.  There is also the question of the red glowing eyes that Abby sees when she's stressed.  Is she being stalked?  Perhaps from the grave?
 The Twisted Trilogy:
  2. Twist & Turn
  3. A Twist of Fate
