Description from the publisher:
Book One in the PSI-Ops Series.
Paranormal Shifter Military Special Ops Romance

Paranormal Security and Intelligence Operative Duke Marlow has a new mission: find, interrogate and possibly eliminate the target—Mercy Deluca. He knows looks can be deceiving, but it's hard to believe the beautifully quirky woman running around in a superhero t-shirt is a viable threat. The sexy little biomedical engineer quickly proves she is more than he bargained for and Intel has it all wrong—she’s not the enemy. Far from it. Intel also forgot to mention one vital piece of information—she’s Duke’s mate. This immortal alpha werewolf doesn’t take kindly to her being in danger.

When Mercy accepted a position within The Corporation she thought it was to help cure disease and to make a difference for mankind. She had no idea what her new career path truly entailed—monsters masquerading under the guise of scientific research. Unable to stomach the atrocities she’s uncovered, she reaches out through what she hopes is the proper channels, asking for help. Mercy gets more than she bargains for when a team of paranormal hotties shows up on her doorstep ready to take down The Corporation. One in particular seems to be able to get under skin, both aggravating her and exciting her in ways she can’t explain.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dr. Mercy DeLuca is a socially-inept, tech genius, scientist working for The Corporation.  It’s not until she is too deeply involved to get herself out that she finds out just what she has been helping them to do.  She has befriended one of the subjects of their experiments, a person she only knows as “Test Subject 87.”  TS87 gives her the name and phone number of a group he used to belong to that can help.  Just her luck, she calls and is connected to Duke, a techno-phobic shifter who doesn’t like anyone or anything.  When they meet in person, sparks (and drywall) start flying.  Can they save TS87 (James) and Mercy from The Corporation?
What a great mix of danger, action, humor, and hotness!  First of all, I love Duke even with all of his surliness.  I work with a large number of older men who are technophobes.  So, I get why he feels that part of him.  Add in that he is hot, quirky, dedicated, and honorable, and I wish I were his Mercy!  The conversations were realistic and often hilarious. The story was fast-paced and completely engaging.
As always, Mandy Roth provides a great story with characters I love and a big helping of humor.  I look forward to more of this series.
